چکیده

This paper presents new envelope PDF's (probability density functions) that describe smallscale, local area fading experienced by narrowband wireless receivers. The paper develops novel PDF's that describe the local area fading of two coherent multipath components in the presence of other diffuse propagating waves. Analytical expressions, graphical analysis, and applicability of the PDF's are presented. These new PDF's appear to be general equations for modeling local area multi path fading since they contain Rayleigh and Rician PDF's as special cases, and also model local area fading that often defies characterization by classical PDF's.

Performance Analysis of Device to Device Communications Overlaying/Underlaying Cellular Network

Minimizing the outage probability and maximizing throughput are two important aspects in device to device (D2D) communications, which are greatly related to each other. In this paper, first, the exact formulas of the outage probability for D2D communications underlaying or overlaying cellular network are derived which jointly experience Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and Rayleigh multipat...

Bit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...

Some Integral Properties of Signal Envelope in Weibull Fading Channel

In this paper the Weibull fading channel model is described and some integral characteristics of Weibull distribution are analyzed. For analytical and numerical evaluation of system performance, the Weibull probability density functions (pdf) are analyzed like particular solutions of corresponding differential equation, while the existence of singular solution is considered and analyzed under d...

New analytical models and probability density functions for fading in wireless communications

This paper presents new envelope probability density functions (pdfs) that describe small-scale, local area fading experienced by narrow-band wireless receivers. The paper also develops novel pdfs that describe the local area fading of two specular multipath components in the presence of other diffusely propagating waves. These pdfs are studied in the context of classical fading pdfs such as th...
